Tanner's 6th Letter:: 4/10/2012

Hola familia! como estan? haha ya that means how are you.. but you
probably already now that. anyways... ya I am getting so close to
leaving the MTC it is crazy. it is a little wierd to think that in
just a couple of months i will be in a whole different time, season
and country. crazy but ya I am definately getting excited kind of
nervous at the same time..because i know that the language is going to
be hard. I am understanding it really well here at the MTC but I know
that it is going to be a whole different language in Argentina and we
will be actually teaching real investigators and not role playing
which is super crazy. The MtC is still such a great place. This week
has been a great week but it has been really hard. i have always
thought that i have been a hard worker but this week i really came to
understand how much more I can acheive if i just push myself more than
I am and i have noticed how much God blesses me when I am really
doing the best i can do.
So ya I am glad to hear about your Easter, i am sure it was a great
day for you all. It was definately different for me not being there to
help with the eggs and stuff but it sounds like you guys did alright
without uncle Tanner ;) i for sure missed some things about being at
home for Easter but man was it great here. First off the Sunday
devotional was in the Morning and that was the sacrament meeting and
what I helped with. I helped administer. Also there were all kinds of
rumors of who it would be speaking and some hope that it was the first
presidency because they said it would be three general authorities..
exciting huh? well it wasnt them but it was close enough. It was
President Packer and his son who is a general authority also. They
both spake and it was so good. President Packer gave such a good talk
and man I love that man. i was also so cool helping with the
sacrament. i assignment was to administer the sacrament. I had perfect
seats straight across from President Packer.. so I did not want to
mess up. Also it was so cool breaking the bread as they sang that song
and i really had the opportunity to think of Christ and what he did
for us. As I did it i thought how cool it was the i am a
representative of him and I was literally doing the same thing he did.
After that we had a testimony meeting with just our branch and man
there were some powerful testimonies. One elder told this story on how
he was supposed to die about 4 times from a wakeboarding activity but
he recieved a priesthood blessing and everything turned out perffectly
and that is why he is serving a mission because he cannot deny that
god lives. after that I had two interview and they were both awesome.
one with President Bowen and then with brother domam. i had a very
special prayer with him and that is just another testimony builder for
me. Then in the night we had another fireside andthe byu mens chorus
sang it was so fun especially and spiritual also President Brown told
the MTC that we could take our suit coats off except for on firesides
and sundays. it was so funny because the whole MTC erputed in huge
cheers it was like when we throw our hats off at graduation but like
twice as much. Oo also last week guess who i taught in TRC....? The
main investigator from my favorite movie the best two years. it was so
funny and wierd teaching him. he was super nice though he went to
spain on his mission so ya i am out of time but i love you so much!!
the church is true and i know it! o aslo i sent someting
special home so enjoy. Also mom I would love it if you would sendd
those things i will also write you a letter tonight about the ipod
thing ok cya next week elder boyer
