Letter 17:: 1/28/2013

well hello everyone. This has honestly been the craziest week of my
life.. haha but before I get into that let me answer your questions
before if forget. Yes i got all those packages and I loved them sooo
much!! thank you so much. and tell aaron that music is awesome and I
love it so thank you bro. And Braden and Mandy thank you for the
goodies and stuff that was exactly what I wanted. zone bars and cliff
bars seriously the best and that talk was amazing Iloved it. ALso
dont worry I am going to pick up the GPS today. I went last week and
it wasnt there but it sounds like it should be there this time.

So back to this week. Yes E. Pico has been really sick and it has been
hard for him. He has to stay in the house almost always and that has
been rough. the other two Elders we live with have been so awesome
tho. we basically combined our two areas and went on exchanges the
whole week each taking time at home with E. Pico and then out working
in both of the areas. And we hit mission standards in both areas which
was something we worked really hard to do. It was crazy because a few
days we had lessons every hour of the day. We were also very blessed.
the members were awesome this week we just showed up at there house to
teach them and they had invited a bunch a friends for us to teach so
we found 6 new investigators this week. It was awesome. Also yesterday
I gave a talk in church on how vital members are to missionary work.
It was good. I was super nervous but as I spoke i felt the spirit and
I hope they at least understood the spirit I spoke. But my spanish is
gettting better. I have really come to understand how real the gift of
tounges is tho and I am learning how to follow it. It is just like
following other promptings of the spirit and no huge thing but really
I have been able to learn pretty fast and speak things that are
important. It is helping me love the work more too because I actually
understand what it going on and the personalities of those we teach. I
seriously love the people here in passaic and I love passaic. It is
the best. The people here are awesome, loving, super funny,
interesting, and have strong testimonies and conversion stories it is
 awesome.

So yes dont worry about me I am loving it here more and more and
getting more in the grove. It is crazy the second transfer is almost
over and I will officially be done with training haha. but yes I dont
know what is going to happen.

So that definately sounds like it is crazy also back at home. I pray
for dad in his school there is a member out here doing the same thing
and she doesnt speak english. her testimony of prayer and god helping
here thru it is strong.so I know that each prayer in your behalf
either by yourself or by someone else makes a difference even if it
 doesnt feel like it.

oh also braden would like to know. One of the highlights of this week
was when we saw these russian and polish guys on the street. and they
started yelling at us so we walked over to talk to them. they were
super friendly but could hardly speak english. I spoke russian to him.
the only thing i remeber braden teaching me. me pine mine a parusky or
however you spell it. and the guy loved it. he busted up laughing and
was hugging. it was super funny. I am pretty sure he was drunk
tho..but I gave him a pass along card in spanish tho.. it was funny
tho because you can tell they learned english in a spanish area
because they would speak spanglish to us and it was super funny
because they didny realize it. anyways that was a good time. I really
loved this week but it was a lot of hard work. hard work makes you
feel good tho. and I got closer to Heavenly Father.
The Gospel is real, the spirit really speaks to us and if we follow it
we will be directed to the way we need to go. I know that is true !

 I love you all,
 Elder Boyer
