Letter 26:: 4/1/2013

Hi family, It sounds like you had a great Easter. I am sorry I wasnt there this year to hide the Easter eggs. but it sounds like you got along pretty well without me.. haha My Easter was great out here! On Saturday we had a Branch activty planned be the missionaries. What we had were three different rooms.One focussed on the the Garden of Gethsemane , another on the crucifiction and another on the Ressurection. My companion and I were in charge of the Garden of Gethsemae and it was really fun, We set it all uup to look like a Garden and even made a figure of the savior praying. We even had sound and smell. And then we taught about the Garden. As we prepared the lesson i learned a lot about the garden and my tesimony about how much Christ really suffered for me grew. It all
 became more real rather than just something I hear about at church. It was cool. I know he truly suffered mentaly, physically, and spiritually for each one of us. It is amazing and it is true.

On Easter Sunday all of us missionaries sang in Church, ( But I am pretty sure mandy sounded a lot better than all of us) oh by the way. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADEN. I love you brother and you are an amazing example to me!

But yeah... Easter Sunday. we sang and then we taught like a bagillion lessons. We even found a new investigator who is super prepared. we walked out of church and was just staring at the church. so we went to talk to him. He said he was on a spiritual journey and he prayed for God to guide him to the right church, and then he said for some reason this church caught his eye. SO cool huh. we taught him the restoration and he loved it.:) Then later we were fed A LOT of food. Easter is crazy out here because the Catholic churches have like plays and they actually hang people on crosses, it is nuts. But they definately remember easter which is good. Then in the night it started pouring rain and we ran from appointment to appointment. It was really fun! So I had a great Easter.

 This week was actually really hard for me tho. Just working with my companion is difficult sometimes because he has his own ideas and I dont really know how to share my own ideas in a loving way. We just got to find the balance tho and we will be good. Any suggestions tho. I felt like Satan was working on me really hard this past week. sometimes I felt so frustrated that I was about to burst and the only thing that helped me praying and humbling myself, which is hard to do.I have learned a lot. One thing I have learned about the mission is that it humbles you right down. I use to think I was a pretty humble guy but each day I feel like I learn something new that I need to do
 better. But dont worry I am not hard on myself, I just try and learn and also accept others opinions more than my own. But like i said it is really hard.

 But I am glad I get to learn those things now :)
  

 Oh man Maclean got called to the Phillipines!!! That is so awesome.There are some phillipino missionaries out here and they are seriously some of the funniest elders in the mission. He is gonna love it. Especially the part about being a missionary. It is the best. We were all just talking about it the other day, how the mission really is the best, You just get to feel happy, help othere people, talk to interesting people and awesome people. It is the best. Tell Maclean that that is stinking awesome!! I love him! Congrats!
 

 Ok so google earth, I think we are the second house in from the street and our house is green so hopefully that helps. I dont know Thank for you package!!! I got it and I have eaten a lot of it already. Oh and I loved the postcards and the picture of Christ. Thank you so much.but I should probably get going. Love you all so much!!

  ps Oh I remembered that, I havent been able to talk to sam and dont really know what is going on with him. and i would love too but i dont have his address so if you could send that that would be great.
 

 Also one more thing. I was just wondering if adam had any cool object lesson ideas he could send me that I could use as a missionary. I think that would be really cool. just simple ones :)
